Starry Night in AF Canyon

So last night at around midnight, Kali's dad took the both of us with her dog, up AF canyon. I had so much fun! We were able to get pretty far away from light pollution and the milky way had risen up in the sky. It looked a lot prettier than the photos we got, but we still got some pretty awesome photos. I'm really happy with how they turned out!

Portraits

I tried to take environmental and candid shots. These were my five best because I liked the way they made me feel and I also loved the lighting in each of these.  I big success of the shoot was that everyone I was taking photos of was very happy because we were all having a good time at the beach together. Something that wasn't successful was trying to take photos of them in the water. They were moving around too fast and the photo didn't look good when I quickened the shutter speed.

Landscape Photography

I chose these five photos as the best because I really liked the lighting. I chose this subject because I was on a walk and noticed how pretty the sky looked at that moment. I learned to not use a telephoto lens for landscape, otherwise, the photos with turn out very grainy.

Macro Photography

For this assignment I chose the first option: choose a subject you know intimately. I chose my ukulele because I have used it many times and I know each and every part of it very well. I also knew that the texture would be really cool. I have two macro lenses: 10x and 15x. I used them both for this assignment. Macro photography is one of my favorites because there is a big variety of things you can shoot and each photo seems to be very interesting.

Cubomania

Before
After

I chose this photograph because I really liked the contrast of colors. There are a lot of dark parts and a lot of light parts making it easier to distinguish each box.  This project took a lot of time and patience, but once I figured it out, I was very happy with the result.

My Choice

These 5 were my best because they were the only ones that actually turned out. Night photography is my favorite so I kind of know a little bit about it with experience and I was able to get the shots that I wanted. I learned this week that you kind of have to do everything through trial and error.

Food Photography

We were asked to take photos of food. I decided to use my homemade light box for this assignment. I like how these turned out. I had fun playing with the depth of field to get the image I wanted. These were my five best because I like how the background turned out.

Fruit
Unhealthy
My Personal Favorite :)
Dessert
My Favorite Chips
(Not very good together though!)

Lightbox Object

We were asked to make a lightbox and post three of our best photos.

Creepy Shadows

To be honest, I'm not too pleased with these photos. But I did my best with the time I had.
